MY APPROACH TO THERAPY
I believe that meaningful change occurs within the context of a safe, collaborative, and authentic therapeutic relationship. My approach to therapy is grounded in client-centered therapy, which focuses on each person's unique experiences, values, strengths, and goals. I view clients as the experts on their own lives and work alongside them to create a treatment plan that feels relevant, empowering, and personalized.
While the therapeutic relationship serves as the foundation of my work, I focus on utilizing evidence-based interventions that have been scientifically shown to be effective in promoting lasting change. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based approaches, interpersonal therapies, and other research-supported treatments, I tailor therapy to meet each client's specific needs and concerns.
WHO I WORK WITH
I work with older adolescents and adults who are seeking to better understand themselves, challenge long-standing patterns, and develop healthier ways of living and relating. My typical clientele are often high-achieving or gifted individuals who are struggling to actualize their potential, whether in the workplace, at home, or in relationships.
As someone who has lived and worked in various settings across the U.S. and Korea, I also appreciate and welcome the diversity of different social and cultural contexts that each person brings into the therapy room.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Therapy with me is an intentional and goal-oriented process that balances insight with action. Together, we will make sense of patterns, strengthen self-awareness, and develop practical tools and steps that support healing and meaningful change in everyday life. Throughout the process, I regularly monitor progress and adjust treatment as needed to ensure that our work remains effective and aligned with what matters most to you.
Clients often tell me they appreciate the balance of warmth, empathy, and validation I bring to the therapy room, along with the structured, thoughtful challenge, and insight that help sessions feel productive and impactful.

MORE ABOUT ME
Outside of the therapy room, I love being in nature and experiencing the excitement and anticipation of changes that occur with every season. I’m also a dog-lover, mother of two, and wife to a retired veteran. In my free time, I enjoy activities that engage both the mind and body, including yoga and mentally stimulating, hands-on projects.
